Currently residing in West Sussex, my journey with a camera started many years ago as a youngster growing up in Cornwall near to the Rame peninsula and Whitsands bay.
From a young age I was fascinated with wildlife and the natural world in general, and starting to use a camera to try to capture what I saw was a logical next step .
Reading books such as Jonathan Scotts "Roaring at Dawn" and "A Leopards Tale" inspired me further and instilled a desire to travel to the Masai Mara in Kenya and watch the daily drama of life on the plains for myself. After many trips to the Mara it now holds an extra special place in my memories which will keep me going back for many years to come.
Now I spend my time working with both African and British wildlife and I have too many favourite places to be able to list them here. Suffice to say if its wild and remote then I am perfectly happy!
Being out in the countryside at dawn amongst nature. Watching the sunset over a magical place such as the Masai Mara. Witnessing a storm batter the north Cornwall coast , or watching as an Otter dives close to you off the Scottish coast - these are the moments I truly relish and live for. To be able to record them as a single moment on my camera is a bit of an added bonus.
My ultimate aim is to inspire, and to show what most people never get the chance to see even once in their lives.
My photos have been widely published worldwide in a variety of magazines and books including N PHOTO , Subsurface journal, Lowflying ( lotus 7 magazine) , Outdoor photography, Practical Photography magazine, The Deer society journal, The Professional Imagemaker, Digital Camera mag, Digital Photo, Digital SLR, Outdoor photography, and BBC Wildlife magazines.
My photos are also sold worldwide via the Alamy stock agency and THINKPHOTO.
